If you want to try my approach, choose basic, simple, and broad labels for your daily habits to track. So as you set your habits, go easy on yourself ! Those are wonderful, but for a lot of busy people, they’re just not feasible every single day. A walk is acceptable-it doesn’t need to be a crazy, high-intensity, hour-long workout. And even though it’s easy to convince myself I don’t have any time to do my habits, it’s pretty tough to convince myself that I can’t spare five minutes for a task.Īnother example is movement. I’ve found that when my goal is such a small amount of time, it’s a lot less intimidating to get started. You’ll notice that for habits like Spanish practice and playing my ukulele, I set the bar pretty low: just five minutes a day.
